acts-9-1-19Acts 9:10-19

But, Lord!

The first example given to us is a “disciple named Ananias.” Vv.10-16

  1. We are to be obedient even when we have questions, even if these questions are unanswered, and even when the request doesn’t make sense.
  • Not blind faith…
  • When we fail to be obedient it reveals…

Ananias’ obedience accomplished a number of things.

  • The will of His Lord
  • The public recognition
  • The healing of his physical sight
  • The filling of Saul with the Holy Spirit
  • The baptism of Saul…
  • Enabled Saul to be able to truly fellowship

Now in the case of Saul’s example

  1. We are to be obedient and learn to trust Christ even though we don’t have answers and often sit in the dark waiting on Christ.
  • When we think we are all alone in the dark – Jesus is present…
  • The Lord extends mercy and hope…
  • We learn to wait patiently…
  • As we wait…
  • Christ has a purpose for our waiting…
